How many projects can I apply for?
Teachers can apply for one BTG project per school year.
Can only one teacher apply per school?
Every teacher at a school can apply for the Bridge the Gap Fund; however, the BTG Fund is intended to be a citywide resource so that may change.
Is this a grant?
No, the BTG fund is for financial assistance. Think of it like a tab we cover, not a check you cash. Weโll pay for your projectโs actual costs up to your tier amount.
Can I carry over funds to a different project?
Funds are tied to a specific project as outlined in the application. Leftover money does not roll forward. You may revise your project if things change.
Can teachers be reimbursed for project-related expenses?
No, Live It Learn It must be able to pay the vendor directly or purchase the items for teachers to avoid tax issues. If we cannot pay it directly, the project may need to adjust.
Can projects cover technology?
If the technology is related to a specific experiential learning aspect of your projects, then potentially yes.
However, this is at the discretion of Bridge the Gap Fund staff. The BTG Fund does not cover technological improvements to classrooms.
