Sierra Morris

(She/Her)
Manager of Programming
Experiential Learning Educator

Sierra spent her childhood in Ward 6 and her adolescence in Prince George's County, Maryland. She earned her B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University and her M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Sierra has had the pleasure of working for the Northwest Center Maternity Home and Pregnancy Resource Center, the Newseum, and the PEN/Faulkner Foundation. Sierra also dedicated eight years to teaching in DC, Maryland, the Dominican Republic, and Taiwan. She taught core subjects for PreK-4th grades, English as a Second Language for K-12th grades and was fortunate enough to apprentice under her former teachers at Capitol Hill Montessori. She's honored to be in her current role, which encourages her to grow, solve problems, and explore with students through Live It Learn It. As a true Taurus woman, Sierra tends to luxuriate whenever and however she can; she gravitates towards art, food, nature, and overindulgence. If you’re looking for her, you can find her teaching dance, writing young adult fiction, cooking or eating, watching a documentary, planning a trip, creating something she may not finish, or doing absolutely nothing.
